UPDATE: New image sizes, now CSS-free
This post is a sequel to one I originally posted on May 9th. If this is your first time here, I'd recommend reading the original first. Ya know... Just so you aren't completely lost.
Last month, I posted a few tricks to resize your profile's images without the need for CSS. Yet, since that post we've been busy making some 'small' changes to ensure these image size variables play nice with your profile layout.
We finally have a standard in place for what size each image will be. Here's how it's gonna break down:
NOTE: Before reading on, let me explain the 1:1 and 4:3 aspect ratios. All images for GROUPS, ORGS and FRIENDS are cropped to a 1:1 ratio, while PHOTOS and VIDEOS are cropped to a 4:3 aspect ratio. You can also find my original example for implementation in the first post, right here.
Small
1:1 = 50 x 50 px
4:3 = 67 x 50 px
Medium
1:1 = 75 x 75 px
4:3 = 100 x 75 px
Large
1:1 = 120 x 120 px
4:3 = 160 x 120 px
In the very near future, Ryan and I will be adding a simple chart to the advanced editor page. That'll keep you from having to hop back to this post every time you want to go from one size to another. Enjoy...

Hey Virb Crew….first off want you to know that your hard work is very much appreciated. Continue your high standards of excellence!
Next, I want to whine and complain of course. I run a small artist management company and am pleasured to use virb to keep our web presences looking tidy. I'm whining on behalf of several of my artists who don't like that each member of their band has to open a personal virb profile for their picture to display in the "band members" section of their band virb site. I, of course, tell them to suck it up and help build the Virb membership, but no matter what I say there's always going to be a handful that "don't have a computer" or just like to be a stick in the mud.
So….I wanted to see if you would be willing to make it possible to choose between band member's pics coming from their personal virb sites versus just being able to upload a picture of them on the actual band site.
Thoughts?
Thanks for your time, Jeremy
