UPDATE: Do Good + Look Good
Just about two weeks ago, I mentioned Do Good + Look Good; a new campaign that we would soon be launching on VIRB. Well, without further adieu, it's here!
The DG+LG campaign will run every month. We'll take designer submissions until the latter part of the month and then allow the charity to choose their designer. At that point, we'll wipe the submission slate clean and start again for the next month.
If you missed the original Do Good + Look Good post, you can find it here. Otherwise, head on over to the brand-spanking-new DO GOOD page and sign up. It's that easy.
Do Good. Look Good. Good luck!

I have to read up on this, because this sounds really cool.

So how exactly does this work? Do we have to submit a profile with the design that we are submitting? Or will we get contacted after we have signed up asking for our design?
Great idea by the way :)

how do charities or organizations sign up?

Hi Brad, I have a few questions I think others might also want to know beforehand (hope this is the right place to ask these things):
As Harry mentioned, what's the process for a designer submitting themselves (concept drawing of the charity's profile, their portfolio)?
What's the turnaround time once a designer is chosen?
Does the chosen designer take on the role of maintaining the charity's profile?
Would the work be done as it normally is on the backend, as if you were creating a profile for yourself? In other words; using the same tools I already use? Or do you have something special set up for this (specifically wondering about storage).
An additional thought: rather than "wiping the slate clean" each month, why not keep a pool of willing designers and charities? That way if the charity cannot find a designer that fits their vision within the month they are featured, there'd be a constantly growing list of designers who might (sign up and) find them later? Or are you maybe going for a contest format to drive more submissions in a small amount of time?
Great idea, interested but curious about these things.
