Happy Birthday, VIRB Blog
Team Virb gave life to a bouncing baby blog this morning; and while we don't wanna come off too strong, we still want you to know that it's kind of a big deal. :) She's a cutie, and you'll want to visit often. Read on, blog lovers. Read ON!
So press your face to the glass window, murmur the subtle baby talk and head on 'oer to the VIRB Blog. Bookmark it, RSS it up or whatever your heart desires.
I'm ALSO launching a new VIRB Screencasts feature with the blog. Some simple stuff is up there now, with more 'meat and potatoes' coming soon for you VIRB Pros.
Welcome, greetings and hello. I'm giddy knowing that you're here.
P.S. Grab the RSS feed if you haven't already.
P.P.S. I like cookies... Just in case you had an itch to do some baking. :)

I would totally send you guys some chocolate chip cookies, if I could get a tour of the VIRB offices the next time I'm in Boston. ;)

I would definitely send in some rad cookies, except I think people here would eat them before they even got out of the oven.
Anyway, I'm really glad that you guys decided to launch the blog; I think that's what makes Virb stand out above other social networking sites. You guys listen to what we have to say, and took that extra step to ensure even further interaction between developers and fans/stalkers/lovers/obsessees.

Floris — it's completely possible; It's just a matter of making sure your theme has not bloat to it, and that it's clean and efficient :P

Brad, link to the feed in the sidebar maybe?

Agreed. Feed links need a visual, clickable home.

Hey, I have some suggestions to make virb better…
1) When you are adding tags to anything on virb, a dropdown appears with tags you've already used with check boxes next to them. Right now, if i click on a check box it adds that tag to the object I am tagging… what about multiple tags? I think that drop down needs to allow the user to select more than one tag before it collapses and makes you type something in again to get the list back up… either that or a link to "My Tags" or "Box-O-Tags" or something along those lines that has a list of tags you've used that will allow for the selection of multiple tags to apply to an object.
2) Musicians and groups. Idk if musicians can currently receive invitations to join groups. Maybe its just an option that nobody selects or something, but every musician I have tried to invite to a group does not have the "Invite to Groups" link on their page… It'd be cool to allow that since a lot of musicians on virb are also just regular members here to network socially like the rest of us. Speaking of an option, if it isn't already there… adding an option to musician's backend to allow or disallow group invites would be stellar.
3)Allow for customized group profiles. Even slight customization would completely kick ass. I think I read somewhere that this is in the works, but if not it def should be incorporated because as of now all of the groups on virb look exactly the same. It's kind of like if you've seen one, you've seen em all and I think that dissuades a lot of users from participating in group conversations. Don't get it twisted, society judges every book by its cover.
to this point that is all i have noticed that you guys havent already graced us with… otherwise virb is unflawed.
