Do Good + Look Good
It feels good to LOOK good. It feels even better to DO something good! That much is true. As the VIRB community continues to grow, we find that we are increasingly blessed with a plethora of very creative individuals. While in another corner, there is a growing number of charities and organizations making VIRB their new home. So... We had an idea.
In a new campaign, Do Good + Look Good, we will be pairing charities with designers to create something truly beautiful. Each month, we will choose a charity or organization and post it on the (upcoming) DG+LG page. That's when you, Mister and Misses Creative, will have the chance to put yourself in the running for that month's design. The organization will have the opportunity to choose their designer - and then we pair you two up. It's like matchmaking for a very good cause. The charity walks away with a incredible new VIRB profile and you walk away knowing you did something really good. Oh -- and there's the fact that you both will be featured on the homepage. Yeah, there's that too...
For those of you that are ready to get involved, the time is near. To blatantly let the cat out of the bag, Ryan and I are launching a new VIRB homepage sometime in the next few days. This redesign will (1.) create a spot for the new campaign and (2.) make the homepage downright sexier... At that point, I'll be sure to let you know what the next step is.
So... Do Good + Look Good and a dapper new homepage design is on the horizon.
Dang. You. Look. Gooood. Tonite! :)
UPDATE: Do Good + Look Good is now LIVE. Calling all designers! Sign up today.

That's cool. Good idea. Perhaps there are some designers from our platform who want to take part in this project.
We have got a charity project, too.

Hmm, to bad there is no option to pair a designer and programmer with a business rather than just a designer.
My lack of CSS skills would take me out of this fun little adventure.

Super excited, I love VIRB but we dont have the time or skill in hours to make our profile what i know it could be.
We are an aids service organization that runs a number of online services that we'd love to see intergrated into our blog including our online auctions (housingworksauctions.com) with photos powered by flickr and our upcoming "I saw this a thrift store" blog, not to mention our youtube video with sarah jessica parker!!
Soo excited to see what the community can come up with.
